UzPhOnline platform launched in pilot mode
The platform is running in pilot mode. Please send suggestions and remarks via the form on the "Contacts" page.
As part of the digitalization reforms in the country's healthcare system, the Unified Electronic Information Platform (UzPhOnline) of the State Pharmacopoeia of the Republic of Uzbekistan (SPRU) has been officially launched in test mode.
This digital resource was developed in order to provide fast, centralized and unhindered access of industry experts to the database of general and private pharmacopoeia articles (monographs) and regulatory and technical requirements.
Taking into account the extremely important legal and scientific status of pharmacopoeia standards, the following strict rules for providing information on the online platform are introduced:
–The only legal and scientific source posted on the platform that has legal force is the Latin version of the text. In cases of examination of pharmaceutical products, assessment of compliance of standards, and arbitration, only the text in the Latin alphabet is relied upon.
–For the convenience of industry professionals and to ensure prompt reception of information, an alternative of texts in Cyrillic is automatically generated. These texts are identified by a special warning sign indicating that they are automatically generated by the system.
• After the readiness of the Cyrillic versions, which have been scientifically and terminologically examined by the editorial board and a group of qualified correspondents, automatic texts in the system will be gradually replaced with the approved official version.
According to the conclusions of industry experts, the new system will take the relationship between the manufacturer and the regulator to a new level:
- Separation of automatically translated texts with a special character in order to avoid technical errors in the analysis of drugs, chemical formulations and dosage indicators, encourages specialists to be vigilant and prevents drawing conclusions without verification stages.
–Drug monographs, harmonized with the latest analytical standards and international requirements, will be put into practice immediately as soon as they are approved in the Latin script, without delay due to translation processes. This significantly speeds up the processes of registration of medicines.
–The system guarantees the continuity of information exchange between older generation scientists with many years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and young professionals formed on the basis of modern digital standards.
During the trial period, all texts will be displayed in open mode. During full startup, the entry mode (open/subscription/mixed) will be determined by the administration.
During the period of operation of the UzPhOnline platform, we ask you to send your suggestions, comments and scientific recommendations for further improving the functionality of the UzPhOnline platform, optimizing the search engine and eliminating detected technical errors through a special form in the "Contact" section of the platform.
