Pharmeuropa 38.4 publishes 35 new and revised draft texts of the European Pharmacopoeia. Comments on the drafts are accepted until 30 December 2026.
This review summarises key developments from the world’s leading pharmacopoeial authorities and from international organisations working on the standardisation of medicines during September–October this year.
Pharmeuropa 38.4 publishes 35 new and revised draft texts of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.). The general chapters include Water: micro determination (2.5.32), Tests for extraneous agents in viral vaccines for human use (2.6.16), Determination of aflatoxin B1 in herbal drugs (2.8.18), Adhesive properties of patches and medicated plasters (2.9.58), Measurement of consistency by penetrometry (2.9.9) and Cell substrates for the production of vaccines for human use (5.2.3). Draft general and individual monographs are also presented, among them ceritinib, dabrafenib mesilate, estradiol hemihydrate, iron sucrose complex, mitoxantrone hydrochloride, triptorelin, and patches (including transdermal patches). Comments on the drafts are accepted until 30 December 2026.
