State Pharmacopoeia Department
Led by Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Kh.K. Djalilov, the Department prepares the State Pharmacopoeia for publication in line with international requirements.
The State Pharmacopoeia Department is the standing unit responsible for preparing the State Pharmacopoeia of the Republic of Uzbekistan for publication, taking into account modern international requirements and recognized leading pharmacopoeias.
Leadership and composition
The Department is headed by Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Khabibulla Karimovich Djalilov, who also serves as editor-in-chief of the publication.
Its staff comprises the head, a chief specialist, a leading specialist and first-category specialists.
Mission
The Department's core task is to prepare the State Pharmacopoeia for publication with due regard to modern international requirements and recognized leading pharmacopoeias.
Main areas of activity
- participating in the state quality control of medicines and regularly updating standards;
- revising the State Pharmacopoeia at least once every five years, maintaining it in both print and electronic form, and issuing supplements between editions;
- harmonizing texts and cooperating with WHO, EDQM and USP;
- organizing seminars and conferences, providing methodological support to educational institutions, and building specialist capacity;
- developing a specialized dictionary and electronic resources, and preparing scientific articles.
